INSIGHTS FROM BOSTON COLLEGE’S FAITH, PEACE, AND JUSTICE PROGRAM

Peacebuilding is a constructive approach to conflict that addresses the root causes of injustice by encouraging dialogue, repairing relationships, and transforming institutions and structures. It attempts to de-escalate conflict before it erupts into violence, to mitigate and bring violence to an end, and to restore communal life in the wake of political violence.
